Jason Strickland has more than 20 years’ experience as an EMS professional, joining the Guardian Ambulance team in 2019 in his current role as communication manager, including clinical quality improvement programs and field provider training.

From 2013 through 2019, Jason was a member of the clinical care team at Medshore Ambulance, joining the company as a paramedic and working up to operations manager.

At Medshore, Jason worked as a paramedic, paramedic crew chief and operation sergeant. As an operational manager, he was responsible for day-to-day operations, professional training programs and ensuring all medical supplies were properly supplied and stocked. In 2017, Jason was named Medshore’s employee of the year for the Grand Strand Division.

As Guardian’s communication manager, Jason oversees dispatch and communications, while ensuring approprite pre-hospital resources are deployed for every call. He also oversees the company’s clinical quality improvement program and supports the team by managing continuing education training for paramedics and EMTs.

Jason began his emergency services career as a volunteer first responder and firefighter with Horry County Fire. He later worked as a paramedic at Carolinas Medical Response. Prior to joining Medshore, he was a paramedic for Blanden County EMS, as well as a volunteer rescuer for Fair Bluff Rescue.

Jason is a national registered paramedic and South Carolina registered paramedic certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support. The is also certified in Incident Command System 100, 200, 300, 700 and 800.
