Curtis Welch Named Operations Manager for Guardian Ambulance
Guardian Ambulance is pleased to announce that Curtis Welch has been promoted to Operations Manager for Guardian Ambulance.
In his new role, Curtis will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company’s Florence operations, including Florence, Dillon, Clarendon, and Sumter areas. Curtis will officially start his new position on September 30th.
“We are excited to continue to see Curtis’ growth within our company as he takes on this new role within our South Carolina operation,” said Jason Cooke, Vice President of Operations. “Curtis has a wealth of knowledge in the EMS field and more than three decades of experience. His organizational management skills and servant leadership management style have earned him this well-deserved promotion, and we are excited to see the company’s Florence operation grow under his added leadership.”
Prior to his promotion, Curtis had served as Guardian’s Operations Supervisor since 2021. Before joining the Guardian team, he was an Adjunct Instructor of Emergency Medical Technician for Calhoun Technical College, Captain of Training and Compliance Officer for Orangeburg County Emergency Medical Services, and Paramedic Crew Chief for Sole Response Ambulance Service.
With more than 30 years of EMS experience and 24 years of EMS leadership experience, Curtis has demonstrated his dedication to the community and his colleagues, earning himself numerous commendations, including the Guardian Ambulance Leadership Award, Employee of the Year Award, and numerous Service Above the Call of Duty recognitions from local Fire and EMS agencies.
